AdDaptive Intelligence

AdDaptive Intelligence is a Boston-area B2B account-based advertising and analytics platform, and I rebuilt addaptive.com from scratch: designing the site, building the custom WordPress theme behind it, animating the diagrams that explain the product, and standing up the local, staging and deployment infrastructure it runs on.

Key Takeaways

  • Designed and built the entire site as one engagement: information architecture, visual design, custom theme, animation, content model and hosting pipeline.
  • Produced the design as a working HTML, CSS and JavaScript prototype rather than static comps, so what the client reviewed was what shipped.
  • Translated an abstract product, account-level signal, omnichannel delivery and account-level reporting, into an animated homepage diagram the marketing team could explain the business with.
  • Researched credible hero statistics against category leaders and verified every placeholder company name as fictional before publishing.
  • Built the theme as a section library driven by CMS fields, so the marketing team assembles and edits pages without a developer.
  • Embedded scheduling directly into the site, with the demo CTA opening a branded booking calendar in a modal.
  • Shipped a machine-readable company data endpoint so AI search surfaces answer questions about the company from a canonical source.

Organization

AdDaptive Intelligence is a B2B account-based advertising and analytics platform based in Woburn, Massachusetts, with more than fifteen years in business. It builds account-level audiences from firmographic and business data, activates them across display, native, video, HTML5, connected TV, programmatic audio and digital out-of-home, and reports results at the account level through its AIR analytics suite.

Challenge

The existing site no longer represented the product, and there was no design agency behind a replacement: no Figma file, no page-by-page comps, and content still being written while the build ran. The hardest part of the brief was visual, communicating a closed-loop advertising product that has no screenshots, in a category where every competitor struggles to do the same.

Solution

  • A working homepage prototype designed in code, reviewed with the client, and carried directly into the production theme.
  • A classic PHP WordPress theme, no page builder, organised so content lives in fields and pages are assembled from reusable section partials.
  • Audience landing pages for Brands, Agencies and Publishers, editorial templates for news and press, a leadership page, customer pages and a designed 404.
  • An animated hero built around the four-stage product cycle, with the layout flexible enough to absorb messaging and product-naming changes mid-build without rework.
  • A full environment chain: local development, staging and deployment, with a compile pipeline for SCSS and JavaScript.
  • A /llm-api/ JSON endpoint publishing the company's products, audience capabilities and content in one canonical machine-readable record.

Results

  • Demo request conversion up roughly 40% on the new site.
  • Organic visibility up roughly 35%.
  • Page load time cut in half against the previous site.
  • Page publishing handled by the marketing team, cutting their production time roughly 70%.
  • Leadership page weight reduced from 32MB to under 1MB.
